I am open-minded, empathic and non-judgmental. I believe in a strong therapeutic relationship and encourage my clients to take an active role in therapy. Collaboration and active participation throughout therapy leads to greater self-awareness and motivation for change.
When working with children and adolescents, I apply the family system approach. This considers the entire family unit and how problematic behavior grows out of the interaction between the child and family and also between the child and society.
I am solution-focused, action-oriented and concentrate on the present. My goal is to assist the individual in improving communication and interaction and to provide the necessary skills to maintain healthy relationships with themselves and others. I promote self-care and self exploration, encouraging change from within to reach a more harmonious and stress-free lifestyle.
